Got this email from a friend yesterday and all I can say is waaahhh, what a timing! We had crabs for dinner but shrimps, prawns, and crabs, they're NOT family aren't they??? But just to be sure, we didn't took our daily dose of vitamin-c last night as well. Got me confusing? Hmmm... please read on and know what I mean.

Here's the email...

Taiwan, a woman suddenly died unexpectedly with signs of bleeding from her ears, nose, mounth & eyes. After a preliminary autopsy it was diagnosed death due to arsenic poisoning death. Where did the arsenic come from?

The police launched an in-depth and extensive investigation. A medical school professor was invited to come to solve the case.

The professor carefully looked at the contents from the deceased's stomach, in less than half an hour, the mystery was solved.

The professor said: 'The deceased did not commit suicide and neither was she murdered, she died of accidental death due to ignorance!'

Everyone was puzzled, why accidental death? The arsenic is of the U.S. military for carrying rice seedlings H Gao.

The professor said: 'The arsenic is produced in the stomach of the deceased.' The deceased used to take 'Vitamin C' everyday, which in itself is not a problem. The problem was that she ate a large portion of shrimp/prawn during dinner. Eating shrimp/prawn is not the problem that's why nothing happened to her family ever though they took the same shrimp/prawn.

However at the same time the deceased also took 'vitamin C', that is where the problem is!

Researchers at the University of Chicago in the United States , found through experiments, food such as soft-shell shrimp/prawn contains a much higher concentration of - five potassium arsenic compounds.

Such fresh food by itself has no toxic effects on the human body!

However, in taking 'vitamin C', due to the chemical reaction, the original non-toxic - five potassium arsenic (As anhydride, also known as arsenic oxide, the chemical formula for As205) changed to a three potassium toxic arsenic (ADB arsenic anhydride), also known as arsenic trioxide, a chemical formula (As203), which is commonly known as arsenic to the public!

Arsenic poisoning have magma role and can cause paralysis to the small blood vessels, "mercapto Jimei"??, inhibits the activity of the liver and fat necrosis change Hepatic Lobules Centre, heart, liver, kidney, intestine congestion, epithelial cell necrosis, telangiectasia.

Therefore, a person who dies of arsenic poisoning will shows signs of bleeding from the ears, nose, mouth & eyes.

Therefore; as a precautionary measure, DO NOT not take shrimp/prawn when taking 'vitamin C'.

Fetus in Fetu

Warning: This is weird and extraordinary.

Have you ever heard of Fetus in Fetu? This was the condition of a man in India who looks 9-month old pregnant. The people in their village made fun of him, telling him he looks pregnant. One day of May 1999, he was rushed to the hospital because his stomach is so swollen and he could hardly breath. The doctors think he has a giant tumor and decides to operate him immediately. When they cut him open, they were horrified by what they find inside!

It was the body of the man's twin brother. A half-formed baby that has lain inside him for for 36 long years, as a parasite! The fetus were well developed, it had fingers and quite long nails. It is a baby boy growing inside his body, apparently it was his twin brother growing inside him as a parasite, feeding him off. The man in India has a condition called Fetus in Fetu when one fetus envelops and absorbs its twin inside the womb. This condition occurs in 1 in 500,000 deliveries.

Here in the Philippines, a two month old baby in Baguio City was also diagnose with Fetus in Fetu in 2007.

I'm having this heartbeat-drumbeat every night for the past 3 weeks already. I usually sleeps at 9:30 pm, I must have not less than 8 hours of sleep every night to keep me alive. I'll be an insomniatic monster if I don't get to have a restful sleep. But for the past 3 weeks, my sleeping patterns changed big time! I sleep at 11 pm, that is if I don't get consumed with thoughts. Thoughts that even bothers me during the days.
These is also the reason why I'm so lazy to update my blogs and do the much needed blog hopping, walking, and visits. Errrrrr!!!

I'm going head over heels about these souls. I'm guilty again. I'm soooo hook to them right now!
They give me nerve wrecks every night, but still I can't go to bed without seeing them.

Oh well, I guess this is because I'm just a certified SURVIVOR fan! Hahahaha..lolz! toinkz!!!

She came by here yesterday. Mamang and I got some pedicure and after it, feels like I'm born again,LOL! If a dog is man's bestfriend, manang manicurista is every girls bestfriend! Who doesn't loved her?! I loved it every time she pushes those dead skin and ingrown toe nails. Having a manicure or pedicure is one of the nicest feelings ever, hehe! I clean my nails myself most of the time, but nothing beats manang manicurista's hand. She's one of those people we might just take for granted, but indeed she also never failed to bring a smile to our faces. Until then manang!

As you already know, there is a current peace problem here in mindanao. Here in Zamboanga for example, threats and warnings are buzzing like bees. There are a lot of soldiers and policemen all over downtown and we constantly hear helicopter noises going to and fro. There is still no cause for panic, but we have to be careful because the threat is really serious. On other areas in Mindanao however, the situation is quite more serious and hard. I got a news a while ago informing that some friends from Iligan city and other parts of Lanao are experiencing the effects of being war victims. I still don't know what's the exact situation right there now, but as one of JW's we have to do something to help our brothers and sisters in faith. I learned that what they need right now is food more importantly. Some are in the evacuation areas already, others are in our local KingdomHall, but still there are others who are left in their houses because the roads going through the areas are being closed.

We are planning to help them, in any way we can. Maybe we can gather old clothes and some donations. I will personally volunteer for this, I hope it will be possible for us to help them. I don't think it's wise to go there now, but whatever help we may hand them will definitely reach to those who needs it.

Zamboanga, the "Sardine Capital of the Philippines." About 80% of the canning companies are found here in Zamboanga City. Seafoods like crabs, lobster, squids and shrimps are abundant here. You can buy 1 kilo of fish for only 20 pesos in the local market. I feel so bless to lived here in Zamboanga, food wise, because compared to other places, we have great resources for seafoods, really it's not that expensive here. But that was before. I saw in the local news yesterday afternoon that 14 canning companies are officially closed yesterday because of financial loses. Actually, every once a year, from Febuary to March, canning companies really stop their operation because it is not fishing season during that time. But right now, because of the soaring oil price and tin can, the companies decided to stop their operation indefenitely. It means that 40,000 employees which includes fishermen, canning workers, etc. and ofcourse their family will be affected. How sad!!! The whole nation will also be affected, it's a fact that sardines is an important food to Filipinos, specially to the poor. What will happen now? I really do hope there will be possitive updates in this regard. Will keep you posted!

mAnang maNghihiLot

I had a restful sleep last night. The cold air and my thick blanket is just so perfect. But waking up this morning I felt so tired, I over-slept perhaps. I've been complaining about this pain in my back and neck for days, think I'm having sores. I guess mamita got irritated with me already so she had the manghihilot came by our house yesterday. I had a wonderful massage. From my scalp down to my lapa-lapa,LOL! My sores are relieved, though their still aching. I can't imagine my life without hilot or massage. I just can't live without it! Haahaaayyy, panuhuton man jud ko pirmi..ahihihi!


To all the manghihilot/therapist's who's always been there for me...THANK YOU!!! You are truely beautiful and with your hands, you never fail to make me feel better!

Thank you to my technician/signer friends who went here last night to fix our laptop. Infairness, bilib ko..hehe! For the past two weeks, I've been frustrated with this internet connection stuff. The dial-up is just so very slow so we decided to have the broadband again. Papito won't have to worry with the bills na, i'll be in charge of it..depends on the opps i'll get,LOL! Anyways, the broadband is back a week ago but I guess gilutos lang jud ko! I still cannot connect! ERROR..ERROR! blah blah blah! I don't understand! Then the technician from their company, came over and check it. Do you know what he said? That I should change my USB lan card coz it's deformed. That I will have to buy another lan card worth 1000 more or less! HUH??? makalisang!
So I consulted my technician friends, A and AI..hehe! Last night they came by in our house and you know what they just did??? AI just got a needle and did some tuslok-tuslok...hahahaha! ( basta iya lng man tu gituslok ang port sa likod..hehe) GOod job..good job! I'm so proud of you! ek-ek! Now we don't have to spend 1000 for that thing. Right now, i'll just have to activate the broadband and I'm good to go! Whaaah, I'm just sooo happy...

manang vendor

I haven't heard her pass by the street for quite a while now. She used to sell lumpia, chikalang, toron, and empanada....wahhhh! I miss her! Every 3 o'clock in the afternoon, her yelling voice wakes us up from our afternoon nap. It's time for a snack! She puts those goody goodies in her basket and roam around the neighborhood. We eagerly wait for her and all those kakanin. But where is she now??? She's gone! What happened to her? I hope she'll be back soon. I hope that she can continue making those kakanin and be able to bring it to us. Her job is a labor of love, defenitely! It's not easy making those goodies you know. You must be patient and talented. I admire manang vendor and her hardwork. She doesn't just do all that work for herself, but also she thus brings delight to us her suki.

Like a mighty tree, they are planted in this garden called life. Yet same as blossom, they slowly wither and eventually die. The elderly are taken for granted most of the time, myths about old age abound. But are these myths true? World Health Organization exposes the fallacy of some of these myths. Let's consider few..

Myth: Most older people live in the industrialized world.
Fact: Actually, over 60% of the world's 580 million older people live in developing countries. An increasing number of people in these lands are reaching old age as a result of better health care and improvements in sanitation, housing and nutrition.

Myth: Older people have nothing to contribute.
Fact: Older people make substancial contributions by doing work for which they are not paid. For instance, an estimated 2 million children in the United States are being cared for by their grandparents, with 1.2 million of them living in their grandparents home. Thus older people provide shelter, food, and education and convey cultural values to their grandchildren while enabling mothers and fathers to continue to work. Also older people when still capable can do much needed caregiving. Example in developing countries where AIDS is a problem, the elderly care for their infected adult children and when these die they have to raise their orphaned grand children.

Myth: Older people lived the work force because they can no longer perform their jobs.
Fact: They more often lived the work force because of disadvantages in education or training or because ageism (prejudice against the elderly) rather than older age in itself.

Myth: Older people do not want to work.
Fact: Older people are often excluded from paying jobs despite their willingness and ability to continue working. They are being told to leaved employment to younger job seekers though ar not as capable and efficient as the older ones.

The elderly should be a sorce of expertise that can be put to good use. Countries should see their ageing populatons not as a problem but as a potential solution to the problem. Our grandparents and the elderly ones in general truly deserves our respect and affection. They are and will continue to be Beautiful Souls.

Children

They say that when you looked at the world through the eyes of a child, everything would turn out differently. Why? Perhaps it has something to do with the child's personality. A child is always trusting. When walking or playing or whatever he may do, a little child stares at his father or mother and gives the sincerest smile as if saying, "I have you, what more can I ask for!" A child trust his parents and holds their hands tight, ready to face the wide world. Children are also humble. Their are not afraid or hesitant to ask questions. They are always willing and eager to be taught. They listen attentively and accepts openly. When parents punish their little child, it's an assurance for them that they are love and cared. They humbly accept it, they don't hold grudges...maybe some of us adults are guilty. They also have the simpliest yet much important dreams and hopes. Always wants to be with their mom and dad, their family. Play with them, smile, laugh, live with them. Happy, no matter what.
True beauty is felt in the heart and is seen through the eyes of a child. Always keep the child in you, take it wherever you go, and be it whom ever you may become.
